The anti-corruption movement spearheaded by Anna won the First round of battel against the UPA government or the representatives sent by all of us to the Parliament.But the battel has left many questions in the mind of people of India.The Questions can be of different kinds.And in the cacophony of all the noises and voices, we have conveniently got an answer that a common man can say the slogan of Obama "Yes we can " most suited in present perview .What the agitation symbolised by Mr. Hazare has succeeded in doing is bringing in a sense of confidence among mango man ,bringing voices together ,bringing people from all walks of life together. In the past days we used to listen of mamoth scams ,used to discuss but regreted not being able to do something but know all of us are Anna.Yes we can speak out.He provided us a new thought ,new process,new way of life where truth prevails.Gandhian thoughts will always be there , ahimsa is the stongest weapon.It was like an experiment labortory for young youths who had read about many movements,non voilence ,gandhi which they saw in real life .The ordinary citizen is experiencing a heady feeling of instant empowerment after years of being resigned to accepting powerlessness as their collective ‘fate’.
Many questions were raised about the movements agenda and the method.Many were cynical about the motives .Their were people who do not support the method adopted by the team led by Anna that they want to destroy the constitutional mechanism and institutions of which we are proud of, notwithstanding their shortcomings . But Anna remined them that peoples parliament is above all .People should go back and a cursory look at the history and sociology of how major laws are shaped in India and other parliamentary democracies shows that quite often they are the end product of movements and struggles of various kinds and that the proposition that it is “the sole prerogative of Parliament to make a law” is true only in the most literal, superficial, banal sense.
Anna carried a collective hope of billions of people .We all are Anna .The new brand the new symbol of enlightment.
